Love Dr. Karp Live!
Love the LIVE DVD, love Dr. Karp! He's given us the gift of sleep with all of our kids. His techniques make sense and really work - swaddling and white noise are a fantastic combo that work like a charm. Twinkle interruptus is another good tip that sounds crazy but is one of the best things on the DVD. It's all basic stuff but hearing it - and seeing it! - from a Doctor helps tremendously. The whole family (toddlers to newborn!) is sleeping again - amazing! Great gift for anyone expecting, too!
Tons of good info
This is a great video. It cuts to the chase and gets to the point. The techniques are fabulous and if you need more in depth info in the special features section there is a FAQ section that is answered with video. So when you add the total time of everything it's a good length. The 3 white noise need work the last one is ok but the first 2 are kinda creepy but that's just a perk. The sleep is really what is needed and the video addresses that wonderfully.
New Dad
If you are a new parent I say buy this now. If you are going to have a lil' one soon, buy this now, if your little one is past 6 months... you could live without it now. My little girl is going to be 6 months in Oct '12 and I could have use these tips way sooner. It's not just someone telling you "hay do this or that" It is a "Person" (who happens to be a Dr)who takes real crying babies and applies his 5 steps and "WOW" the baby is calm and or sleeping. It's things you already know but it how it is done and put together that makes it worth the buy. So in sort I wish someone had gotten it for me! A must buy.
