This set is a veritable buffet of tasty Sixties treats! ( And a few stinkers)
The Sixties were an interesting time for film making. You had the beginnings a more realistic and sometimes violent cinema, but you also had plenty of light-hearted escapism. This set offers a good selection of some of the more interesting lower-echelon films of the Sixties (much lower in some cases).

Twisted Nerve: This is a clever thriller that should produce a few good chills. Hywel Bennett plays a young man named Martin who falls for Haley Mills. Through some ingenious manipulation he poses as a developmentally disabled boy (ignorantly referred to as Mongoloids when this story was filmed) so he can live in the boarding house shared by Haley Mills and her Mum. While worming his way into Haley's affections he's also sneaking out at night making some "questionable" moral choices. Good stuff.

High School Big Shot: This is a trashy movie about a high school nobody who goes from zero to hero through robbery and murder. I'm sure it was meant to be a poignant...

Great DVD Film Collection !
You will love this collection if you like 1960's films. It was great for me as I got to see some rare ones I hadn't seen before.Criminal Affair with Ann-Margret and Barbara Nichols, The Deadly Companions with Steve Cochran, Esther And The King with Joan Collins, The Fat Spy with Phyllis Diller, Johnny Tillotson, and Jayne Mansfield, The Poppy Is Also A Flower with Angie Dickinson, and Rita Hayworth, Shoot Out At Big Sag with Constance Ford, and Twisted Nerve with Hayley Mills. Highly reccommended.
